Website Manager
Description:
The Monroe Art League, a 501(c) non-profit group, is looking for someone to help keep our website up to date! The ideal candidate will have experience with computers and the internet as well as technical development (we use Without Code specifically) with websites. The person in this role will work with the creator of the website as well as the board and members to ensure that the website remains fully functional and up to date with the latest activities, classes, field trips, committees, and other content that boosts the performance of the online presence of the Monroe Art League.
This is a 5-10 hour per month internship and requires you to have access to a computer and the internet for it. You will be trained in how to use Without Code and how the MAL website works as well.
Intern Responsibilities Include:
- Keeping the overall function of the website up and running
- Add members to the Members page as they join the MAL
- Keep the Spot Show listings up to date on the front page
- Keep the Google Calendar up to date on the Events page
- Add classes, workshops, Brillance on a Budget, and field trips to the website as needed
- Update the monthly demonstrator’s section on the front page
- Update other information as needed (the president will keep you apprised of this information)
Intern Qualifications / Skills:
- Verbal and written communication
- Organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of computers and the internet
- Ability to learn skills on the go
- Experience with Without Code a plus but not required
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
If you know your way around a computer, the internet, and have a willingness to learn, ask questions, and seek help when needed, you are eligible for this internship.
Work Hours & Benefits:
This is a 5-10 hour per month position (done when asked) that will be offering a Lifetime Membership to the Monroe Art League to the person who is awarded the role. It lasts for 1 year (and will be open each January for application). If you have previously had the role and already gained membership, you may stay on for an additional year to help the incoming individual.
