Join award winning colored pencil artist, Gretchen Vandenberghe, learn the fundamentals of colored pencil using a simple, affordable set of pencils.

We will cover layering, blending, creating texture and understanding light and shadow. You will have some basic skills that will allow you to start creating your own projects.

 In class, we will work on the components of a still life that you will be able to begin in class and complete on your own at home. Perfect for beginners! 

Materials- please bring these materials with you to the class:

●     Set of Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils 12 or 24, OR  Faber Castell Polychromos 12 or 24, OR similar quality pencils

●     Strathmore 400 Series Bristol Smooth Pad 9x12

●     Small pencil sharpener

●     Kneaded eraser

●     HB pencil

●     Colorless blender (optional)

●     White gel pen (optional)
